Message And so was the Pulsar before it - the car I learned to drive stick on. All driven in this area, with its ever-increasing rush-hour traffic. And unless some sort of physical condition strikes that makes it a bad idea, I intend to be driving only stick for many years to come. =) I was quite serious in my post about the automatic automatically upshifting in traffic driving me nuts; I can't stand that. With a stick, I find myself playing games while sitting in traffic - how far can I go without hitting the brakes? Or the gas? I find in addition to giving me something to do, that also keeps me more engaged with what's going on around me, boring as it may be. In an auto, I'd just totally zone out and not notice if a truck was barrelling down on me or something.
